Demi Lovato has really had a rough go of it lately. She’s supposedly in rehab for substance abuse issues. And now, on top of that, one of her backup dancers wants to sue her after an incident where Demi allegedly punched her.

The backup dancer, Alex Welch, said,

“We were on the plane with the Jonases having this awesome time and I didn’t get a call or text from Demi or a, ‘Hey, you got a problem with me,’ nothing. And she walks up and punches me and literally walked away and got in her seat.
“No one should walk up and do that and brush it over, it’s not right.”

Alex’ lawyer said,

“We have contacted the Lovato camp and we are waiting for a response. If we don’t hear back, we will pursue litigation.”

And Demi’s camp responded,

“We are in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer and hope to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

Sources also added that Demi wasn’t able to reach out to Alex because she was “sequestered” in rehab.

It has been a virtual avalanche of rumors and reports ever since Demi Lovato checked into her treatment facility, and the hits just keep on coming.

But one story that has been identified as positively untrue is the notion that the “Sonny with a Chance” babe is pregnant. Her rep told TMZ it’s 100% false.


However, Radar is reporting that there could be a video recording on Demi snorting cocaine and drinking heavily.

An insider revealed, "Demi was belligerent, being slutty and doing coke all over the house. The guy who hosted the party shot multiple videos of this and what I've seen with my eyes, Demi is screaming, 'F**k all of you, I'm famous, I don't care what any of you think of me the whole world loves me.' He shot her in the bathroom as she was finishing a line (of cocaine)."

As an update to the Demi Lovato rehab story, it seems there could be much more to the Disney darling’s issues than previously thought.

According to the New York Daily News, Demi has been indulging in cocaine and alcohol while out on the road, and they have a source to corroborate the claims.


Texas college student Brian Payne told Life & Style magazine that Miss Lovato couldn’t get enough when it came to partying.

“She was doing line after line [of cocaine] like a pro- and she was 17 at the time,” said Payne. Another unnamed source added, “Demi’s been on a tear lately. She’ll chug booze straight from the bottle.”

The source added, "Since Joe dumped her, Demi's been depressed and drinking a lot. It's been hard for her to keep working so closely with Joe."

Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”
The rep didn’t specify the nature of Lovato’s problems.

But a source close to Lovato’s family tells PEOPLE, “She was bullied in school. She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. … Demi is taking control by getting help.”

She set tongues wagging when she entered a treatment facility earlier this week, and now the reason behind Demi Lovato's decision to leave the Jonas Brothers tour has been discovered.

The “Sonny with a Chance” actress/singer was caught partying by her parents, though she initially thought a backup dancer had snitched on her.

An insider explained, "As she did on most nights off, Demi invited her band, dancers and her parents to dinner. Afterward, she broke off with a very small group."

The next day, it was found that they’d been having a little too much fun. "When tour management found out about this, they talked to the people involved, including Demi. She reacted badly and perceived that someone on tour had told on her."

Then, Lovato confronted a dancer and got into a physical fight. "Afterwards, Demi felt awful about her behavior and realized she needed to take personal responsibility for it.
